Lengthy adaptation of Stephen King's novel has Hanks as the head warden on Death Row in 1935 whose beliefs are shaken by the arrival of a man convicted of killing two little girls. With a neat final twist, this is excellent.                                       RATING 8

As she has been tried and convicted for his murder, she can't she can't be put on trial for the same crime twice.                                              RATING 8

True story of tobacco executive turned whistle blower Jeffery wigland who decided to lift the lid on the sinister goings on  at his former workplace. Pacino is excellent as TV reporter Lowell Bergman who covers the story.                                              RATING 8

7THE HURRICANE (15)

Washington is in superb form as the famous boxer sent to prison for 17 years for a crime he didn't commit. The acting is explosive but, at times, the over sentimental script can be annoying. Still worth a look, though.                                            RATING 7
