STEREOPHONICS RACE AHEAD

STEREOPHONICS have announced two major live shows for Summer 2001 - the biggest gigs the band have ever played, DOV'S MUSIC ONLINE can reveal.

Under the banner of A Day At The Races, the Phonics will play Donington Racetrack (July 14) and Chepstow Racecourse (21). It's touted that the two concerts will exceed their 50,000 capacity Morfa Stadium shows of 1999.

Tickets for both concerts will cost £25. Camping is available for both Friday and Saturday nights at an additional cost of £10 per person for both nights at both sites which is payable at the time of ticket booking (this includes weekend parking).

For tickets call the NME/Virgin Cola 24-Hour Ticketline on 0870 1 663 663. Calls are charged at national standard rate.

Kelly Jones is currently on an UK acoustic solo tour, playing sold out dates in theatres around the country. The singer is previewing songs from the Stereophonics forthcoming third album 'JEEP (Just Enough Education To Perform)'.

For a full on-the-road feature with Kelly Jones, see this week's NME, out in London today (November 21) and nationwide tomorrow (22).
