TRAVIS vocalist FRAN HEALY is to marry his long-term girlfriend NORA, after proposing while on tour in the US.
Travis played the last date on their current US tour at a show at the LA Universal Amphitheatre last Thursday (October 5). According to eyewitness reports from the show, towards the end of the set, Healy told the audience he had an "official Travis announcement". He then revealed that a few days earlier he had hired a car and taken his girlfriend to the Hoover Dam on the Colorado River - where he proposed to her.
One fan told nme.com: "It was really great, the crowd were cheering, and he dedicated the next song to her."
The band have just started recording the follow-up to 'The Man Who' with producer Nigel Godrich.
