U2 have announced details of another low-key US show, this time in LOS ANGELES.
As announced yesterday (November 20)
on NME.COM, U2 are confirmed to play a show at the New York Irving Plaza
on December 2. Now, according to US reports, the band have also confirmed
a date the night before at the LA House Of Blues (December 1).
Speaking previously about the band's
plans for touring their new album 'All That You Can't Leave Behind', which
was released in the UK on October 30, frontman Bono said: "We want people
to see us up close on this record. These songs (have a) kind of intimacy
and a raw, direct emotional quality to them."
It is expected that the shows will sacrifice "high definition video screens, hi-tech lighting (and) extravagant sound systems" in favour of a "lo-fi, analogue" performance.
Tickets for the New York show have been made available via the city's local radio station K-ROCK, although there is currently no word on how fans can get tickets for the LA show.
