PAUL WELLER has cancelled his tour of the US and CANADA, which was scheduled to begin on Wednesday (October 6) in BOSTON, due to "unbelievable costs".
The seven-date tour, which was also to take in New York, Toronto, Chicago, Pontiac and Los Angeles, winding up at San Francisco on October 17, is expected to be rescheduled for early next year, according to a statement from John Weller on behalf of Paul.
In a statement on the official website www.paulweller.com, he apologises to fans and says: "Unfortunately, the would-be tour 'Paul Weller In The US' has been cancelled due to unbelievable costs, which were disastrous. We would like to apologise to everyone for the inconvenience caused. Hopefully we can reschedule in the New Year, when we will have a record company to help both financially and promotionally. Please don't blame Paul, it's a management decision."
